Manama: The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Information held its first meeting of 2025, chaired by Abdulrahman Khalid Al Midfaa, Assistant Undersecretary for News and Regulatory Affairs.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee reviewed Edict (20) of 2024 regarding its restructuring. In addition, the committee expressed gratitude to former members for their contributions and extended a warm welcome to the new members who have joined.
The meeting's discussions primarily centered on implementing past decisions and enhancing initiatives aimed at supporting women in the media sector. This aligns with the directives set forth by Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, to promote equal opportunities within the industry.
