Manama: The Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance Sports Field Committee held a coordination meeting with the Bahrain Chess Federation as part of its plan to visit all national sports federations and meet with their recognised women's committees. The aim of the visit was to review the Federation's programmes and activities, and to explore avenues of cooperation to further promote women's participation in chess and sports in general.
According to Bahrain News Agency, discussions focused on the Federation's current plans and initiatives, highlighting efforts to encourage female participation and expand the player base, in line with the Kingdom's vision of empowering women and enhancing their presence across all areas of sport. Both parties emphasised the importance of sustained collaboration and intensified joint efforts in the coming period to support the development of women's sport and advance the principles of equality and balance within the sporting sector.
