Manama:Encyclo Trade and Better Foods, two Bahraini companies, have entered into a cooperation agreement with the Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment (Ektifa) based in the United Arab Emirates. The signing occurred in the presence of Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Al Ameri, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement was finalized during the Made in GCC Forum and Exhibition 2026 at Exhibition World Bahrain, held from October 6 to 8. The collaboration aims to enhance the supply and marketing of organic and healthy food products in Bahrain, expanding their availability.
Products such as Mleiha dairy and Saba Sanabel flour and pasta will be introduced to the Bahraini market, with availability in retail outlets across the Kingdom. This initiative is set to bolster cooperation among GCC food companies, support the presence of Gulf products in Bahrain, and expand consumer choices.
Dr. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock and CEO of Ektifa, emphasized that the agreement marks a significant step in expanding the establishment's organic products within GCC markets. He highlighted that the partnership with Encyclo Trade and Better Foods is part of Ektifa's strategy to increase retail outlets and commercial cooperation in the region.
Dr. Al Tunaiji also stated that participation in the Made in GCC 2026 event provided a platform to engage with other GCC companies and explore new cooperation opportunities. He stressed the importance of such events in fostering intra-GCC trade and enhancing integration between the food and industrial sectors across GCC countries.
