Electricity and Water Authorities Engage in National Tree Week to Support Bahrain’s Afforestation Plan

Manama: In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Ministry of Electricity and Water Affairs and the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) participated in Tree Week activities, attended by Yasser Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, along with the EWA's Vice Presidents.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the initiative is part of Bahrain's national afforestation plan, which aims to plant 3.6 million trees by 2035. This effort is a crucial component of the Kingdom's broader vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
