Electing Al-Kabeer as Chairman of the Association of African Central Banks.

The Association of African Central Banks elected the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer, as Chairman of the Association of African Central Banks( Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania, and Sudan) during its annual meetings held in Gambia for the year 2023.

During the 45 meetings of African central bank governors, which concluded on Friday in Zambia, Al-Kabeer was elected Vice President of the Association during the next year 2024 and Chairman of the Board of Governors of African Central Banks for the year 2025, according to the CBL on its official page.

The CBL added that the Association will hold its next meeting for the year 2024 in Libya, hosted by the CBL.
