Egyptian President and Jordan’s King Discuss Ceasefire and Aid for Gaza

Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt held a telephone conversation with King Abdullah II of Jordan, during which they emphasized their commitment to the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the facilitation of humanitarian aid, and the release of detainees. They also firmly rejected the displacement of Palestinians from their homeland.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the leaders underscored the urgency of initiating reconstruction efforts in Gaza and called for an end to Israeli actions against Palestinians in the West Bank.

The talks also addressed the current developments in Palestine and reaffirmed the robust relations between Egypt and Jordan. Both leaders expressed their dedication to continuous coordination on regional matters.

Further discussions included plans to enhance Arab cooperation in preparation for the emergency Arab summit in Egypt on February 27. The summit's primary focus will be on achieving regional security and stability.
