Education Ministry and British Council Collaborate to Enhance English Language Learning


Manama: The Ministry of Education has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the British Council to enhance cooperation in English language learning and support government school students by providing access to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).



According to Bahrain News Agency, the signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, Alastair Long, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and senior officials from both the Ministry and the Council.



The MoU aims to improve English language proficiency among students and to provide them with the necessary tools and resources for language assessment. The agreement was signed by Nawal Ibrahim Al Khater, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Education, and Kate Ewart-Biggs, Deputy Chief Executive of the British Council.



This collaboration is expected to pave the way for increased educational opportunities and strengthen the partnership between the two entities. The initiative reflects a commitment to enhancing the quality of education and preparing students for global challenges.
