Education Ministers of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Review Bahrain Teachers College

Manama: Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain (UOB), alongside Yousef bin Abdullah Al Benyan, the Minister of Education of Saudi Arabia, visited Bahrain Teachers College to evaluate its administrative and academic operations in the preparation of Bahraini teachers and educational leaders.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit saw the attendance of Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of UOB, and Dr. Lucy Bailey, Dean of the College. The Saudi Minister was updated on the college's establishment, objectives, and academic programmes. He praised the college for its role in advancing education, its influence on school teaching, and its initiatives to attract graduates, preparing them as future teachers across various fields. He also highlighted the college's commitment to training current teachers and developing educational leaders in collaboration with leading international universities.

Dr. Juma highlighted that since its inception in 2008 as part of the National Education and Training Development Project, Bahrain Teachers College has consistently provided schools with highly qualified national professionals. He credited this success to the college's advanced academic programmes and its partnerships with esteemed global institutions such as Boston University and Harvard University.
