Education Minister Meets with International Baccalaureate Organisation Delegation

Manama:Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, the Minister of Education, recently met with a delegation from the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO). The delegation was led by Mary Tadros, the Senior Development and Recognition Director for North Africa and the Middle East at IBO, and included Dr. Kawthar Saad Al Din, the IBO Development and Recognition Director.

According to Bahrain News Agency, The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the IBO. Discussions also covered the latest developments in the implementation of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme in Bahrain's government schools.

An agreement between the Ministry of Education and the IBO has led to the assignment of a dedicated consultant to each government school that is implementing the Middle Years Programme. These consultants are tasked with monitoring the programme's implementation, ensuring accuracy and sound performance, and overseeing the professional development of teaching staff. The initiative aims to deliver high-quality educational outcomes as the first cohort of students prepares to advance to secondary education.
