Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, met with senior leadership teams from intermediate government schools that will offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme starting from the next academic year. The schools are located across all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting included school heads, principals, assistant principals, and officials responsible for educational operations in the education directorates. Dr. Juma congratulated the school leadership teams on their selection to lead the first phase of implementing the IB Middle Years Programme in government schools. He commended their efforts in preparing for the implementation of the educational initiative and discussed with them the responsibilities and objectives of the next phase.
The Education Minister also met with a group of teachers who met the selection criteria by achieving the highest evaluation results to join the teaching staff that will deliver the IB Middle Years Programme curriculum. He expressed appreciation for their outstanding performance and confidence in their ability to ensure the successful implementation of teaching and learning processes in the selected schools.
