Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Education Council, engaged in a strategic discussion session with participants of the 11th cohort of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Programme. Dr. Juma highlighted the participants as embodiments of the potential and drive within national institutions. He stressed the importance of the Fellowship Programme as a platform for harnessing their ideas and potential to foster excellence and innovation across various sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Juma emphasized the programme’s critical role in preparing skilled national talents to operate across all sectors and equipping them with the necessary skills to enhance government performance. He noted that this aligns with the comprehensive development process spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and acknowledged the ongoing support from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Dr. Juma elaborated on the Ministry of Education’s mission, vision, values, current programmes, and future plans, which aim to prepare learners to contribute to Bahrain’s development through the adoption of international educational standards and best practices. He also discussed the Higher Education Council’s role in advancing higher education institutions by fostering partnerships with leading international universities and enabling institutions to offer high-quality academic programmes aligned with ambitious plans and global best practices.
The Education Minister extended his best wishes to the participants, urging them to leverage the programme to gain valuable experience and develop skills that enhance the efficiency of government operations and Bahrain’s development initiatives.
