Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, met with Dr. Thomas James Rosandich, President and CEO of the United States Sports Academy, during the Bahrain Sports Summit. This event was organized by the General Sports Authority (GSA) and held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who serves as the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the GSA, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Juma praised the academy's efforts in enhancing school sports practices to a professional level. He highlighted the positive impact of the collaboration between the academy, the GSA, and the Ministry of Education on students in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This cooperation has played a significant role in promoting professionalism and the institutional development of sports, which has led to notable achievements in the sports sector for the Kingdom.
The discussions at the meeting also focused on expanding cooperation through joint programmes and initiatives, emphasizing the application of scientific best practices in school sports to further elevate the standards and outcomes for students in Bahrain.
