Earthquake of Magnitude 5.7 Strikes Off Japan Coast

Tokyo: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 was reported off the coast of Japan, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The seismic event occurred at 1:34 a.m. Moscow time, with the epicentre located approximately 51 kilometres southeast of Ofunato in Iwate Prefecture. The earthquake's epicentre was recorded at a depth of 50 kilometres under the seabed.

According to Bahrain News Agency, there have been no reports of casualties or material damage resulting from the earthquake. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation to assess any potential impact on the region.
