Manama: Dr. Adel Abdulrahman Al Maawda, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee at the Shura Council, emphasized the importance of loyalty in parliamentary representation in light of recent remarks by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The King's comments to the media highlighted a leadership vision committed to preserving the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Maawda articulated a national strategy outlined by His Majesty that seeks accountability for those cooperating with Iranian aggression, reinforcing Bahrain's legal framework, state authority, and citizens' rights. He asserted that the legislative body will unwaveringly support the King's leadership against any betrayal of the nation or collaboration with its adversaries. Dr. Al Maawda strongly condemned actions by certain members of the Council of Representatives who have sided with traitors, stating that the privilege of parliamentary representation is undeserved by individuals guilty of treason.
Dr. Al Maawda further remarked that individuals siding with aggressors renounce their right to national affiliation, emphasizing that Bahrain's citizenship is a sacred trust reserved for loyal citizens. He reiterated that the Bahraini nationality is not easily granted but is a binding commitment requiring genuine loyalty, and the measures against traitors are crucial for protecting the nation's achievements and security.
He praised the commitment of the armed forces in safeguarding the Kingdom and preventing any threats to its peace and stability.
