Manama: "Cultural tourism is one of the key areas which can help to develop a sustainable hospitality sector not only in Bahrain but across the region," Edward Dolman, Executive Chairman, and CEO of Phillips Auctioneers, told Bahrain News Agency (BNA). Dolman, who was one of the panellists at Gateway Gulf, highlighted how the tourism strategy aligns with the objectives of the national economy. According to Bahrain News Agency, Dolman emphasized that cultural tourism is a significant economic driver that governments in the region have recognized and are investing in. He urged private investors to seize the opportunity to create enriching experiences for cultural tourists. Dolman also praised the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2024 as a platform for active networking and engaging panel discussions, noting the exceptional hospitality offered by Bahrain. Additionally, Dolman identified art as an area with massive potential, citing the substantial economic opportunities it presents in the region. From an investme nt perspective, he lauded Bahrain's emergence as a pivotal hub, stating that it is increasingly becoming easier for investors to conduct business, reside, and contribute to national development in Bahrain.
