Djibouti President Re-Elected with Nearly 98% of Vote

Manama: Ismail Omar Guelleh was re-elected President of the Republic of Djibouti after winning the April 10 presidential election with nearly 98% of the vote.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Guelleh secured 97.81% of the vote, compared with 2.19% for his opponent Mohamed Farah Samatar.

Voter turnout reached 80.4% of registered voters.
