Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Director-General of the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, received a delegation from the United States Congress: The meeting reviewed the objectives and achievements of the Alternative Sentencing and Open Prisons Project, including rehabilitation, educational and training programmes that support the reintegration of beneficiaries into society.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation also toured the Open Prisons Complex, where they were briefed on its facilities and the efforts undertaken to rehabilitate beneficiaries in line with international standards.
