Cairo: A delegation from the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) concluded a visit to Egypt to strengthen ties with leading research institutions. The delegation, led by Dr. Hamad Ebrahim Al Abdullah, Executive Director, and Dr. Abdulla Isa Al Abbasi, Director of the Energy and Environment Programme, engaged in discussions on shared research priorities.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the visit, the delegation met with Nada El Agizy, Director of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation at the League of Arab States, to review ongoing collaboration in sustainable development and regional cooperation.
At the Al Ahram Centre for Political and Strategic Studies, the Executive Director of Derasat outlined the Centre's latest research, achievements, and future projects in a meeting with Dr. Ayman El-Sayed Abdel Wahab, Deputy Director of Al Ahram Centre. Discussions focused on knowledge exchange and joint research initiatives.
The delegation also visited the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) of the Egyptian Cabinet, where they met Dr. Osama El Gohary, Assistant to the Prime Minister and Chairman of IDSC, to explore opportunities in data analysis and policy research.
The visit concluded with a session with members of the Global Futures Studies Forum, where Dr. Rania Aboulkhair, Secretary-General, discussed avenues for collaborative research and future projects.
The discussions reinforced Derasat's ties with Egyptian research institutions, paving the way for greater cooperation in strategic and policy studies.
