Deputy Prime Minister Opens Bab Al Bahrain Forum 2025

Manama: On behalf of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa inaugurated the Bab Al Bahrain Forum 2025. The forum, organized by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), is themed "Shaping a Sustainable Future through Trade and Employment."

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid emphasized Bahrain's established position in comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He noted Bahrain's emergence as a hub based on sustainability, competitiveness, and fairness, which are key components of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, especially in trade, investment, and services.

Shaikh Khalid highlighted the significant local, regional, and international participation in the forum as a testament to the global confidence in Bahrain. This underscores Bahrain's status as a trusted destination for economic dialogue and strategy formulation for future development.

He also stated that Bahrain is committed to enhancing its role as an active global economic partner by improving the investment environment, adopting best practices, and empowering human capital. This is in line with the National Labour Market Plan 2023 - 2026, which aims to create quality job opportunities for citizens, aligning with national aspirations for sustainable prosperity.

Shaikh Khalid expressed gratitude to the BCCI for organizing the forum, reflecting the Chamber's vital role in supporting economic development and fostering regional and international cooperation.

Sameer bin Abdullah Nass, Chairman of the BCCI, also thanked HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for supporting the Bab Al Bahrain Forum 2025. He emphasized the government's commitment to economic initiatives that promote business and encourage dialogue among economic actors, thereby enhancing Bahrain's position as a commercial and industrial hub.

Nass pointed out that the forum, which includes representatives from the International Labour Organization, World Trade Organisation, International Chamber of Commerce, Gulf Cooperation Council, trade ministers, and leaders from Arab and Gulf chambers of commerce, offers a platform to exchange perspectives and propose innovative solutions to challenges. The aim is to transform challenges into opportunities that enhance economic development and support strategic partnerships for intra-regional trade and employment growth.
