Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, met with Basem bin Yaqoub Al Hamar, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB). The meeting focused on reviewing the Geoportal platform and its digital services.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister commended the Bureau's adoption of artificial intelligence to analyse spatial datasets, which enhances government services, resource allocation, coordination, and project delivery. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah stressed the importance of using advanced technologies and geospatial data systems to improve infrastructure efficiency via digital transformation. This initiative is part of the Kingdom's comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah highlighted that the platform's analytical systems bolster planning and monitoring, support urban oversight, and advance sustainable development in line with Bahrain's future vision. Al Hamar expressed gratitude for the continued support of the Bureau's initiatives through the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister. He emphasized the ongoing modernisation of the Geoportal to align with international best practices.
The Geoportal serves as an integrated digital platform that unifies and facilitates the exchange of geospatial data among relevant entities, enabling broader access to precise information and supporting informed decision-making across government sectors.
