Deputy Prime Minister Meets Lebanese Interior Minister to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, met with Ahmad Mohammad Al Hajar, Minister of Interior and Municipalities of Lebanon, during the latter's visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting highlighted the robust relations between Bahrain and Lebanon, emphasizing both nations' leadership commitment to enhancing these ties, especially in security cooperation.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah reiterated Bahrain's unwavering support for Lebanon, emphasizing the Kingdom's solidarity with the Lebanese Republic. He affirmed Bahrain's backing of efforts to ensure Lebanon's security, stability, and sovereignty, while preserving its national unity.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of ongoing mutual visits between officials from both countries to foster coordination and consultation. He noted the efforts to activate the Bahrain-Lebanon Joint Committee, which serves as a platform for advancing cooperation and structuring future agreements and projects.

Furthermore, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah highlighted the need to boost economic, trade, and investment relations. He encouraged private sector institutions in both nations to explore opportunities that align with mutual interests, contributing to shared growth and prosperity.

Minister Al Hajjar expressed appreciation for Bahrain's supportive stance toward Lebanon and shared Lebanon's desire to further enhance bilateral relations.
