Deputy Prime Minister Highlights Infrastructure Achievements in Bahrain


Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, met with Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, the Minister of Works, to discuss the progress of the Jasra Interchange Project presented by the ministry’s engineering staff. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah praised the team for their contributions to improving Bahrain’s road network, resulting in enhanced traffic capacity and flow.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah emphasized that these advancements reflect the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Deputy Prime Minister underscored the importance of road projects as a foundational element supporting various sectors, which in turn improves traffic flow, reduces travel times, attracts investments, and enhances service quality for both citizens and residents.



Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah further highlighted that the successes in road infrastructure are a testament to the dedication and teamwork of Team Bahrain. This collaborative effort transforms strategic plans into reality through discipline and efficiency, supporting the Kingdom’s sustainable development goals. He noted the integrated approach among different entities, which ensures projects meet quality and safety standards within set timelines.



During the meeting, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah reviewed updates on major road projects like the Wali Al Ahd Highway expansion, King Faisal Highway expansion, the Fourth Bridge Project, Phase Three of the Southern Ring Road, and the flyover to Road 105 connected to the Muharraq Ring Road. He urged the Ministry of Works to prioritize these projects due to their strategic significance in enhancing the road network’s efficiency, aligning with Bahrain’s urban and economic growth.



Al Hawaj expressed gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister for acknowledging the efforts in implementing the road network projects. He commended Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah’s ongoing support and supervision through his leadership of the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects. Al Hawaj stressed that this backing motivates continued efforts to fulfill the visions of His Majesty the King and the Crown Prince, aiming to meet citizens’ aspirations for a modern infrastructure.
