Gudaibiya: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, met with a group of Bahraini art pioneers at Gudaibiya Palace, accompanied by Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah stressed the significance of purposeful art forms-such as poetry, singing, and composing-in safeguarding Bahrain's cultural and historical identity. He emphasized the role of the arts in documenting the Kingdom's achievements during its comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Deputy Prime Minister praised Bahraini artists for their creativity in preserving the Kingdom's identity and heritage, fostering unity, and enriching its cultural landscape. He also noted their active participation in national celebrations and events, highlighting their influence on public engagement.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah further emphasized the initiatives by the Ministry of Information and the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) to preserve national arts and ensure the involvement of Bahraini artists in cultural programmes.
Dr. Al Noaimi reiterated the government's commitment to recognizing and supporting creative talent, emphasizing the pivotal role of Bahraini artists in shaping and enriching the Kingdom's artistic movement and cultural identity. The artists expressed their dedication to producing works that reflect Bahrain's values and cultural heritage.
