Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received Gines Jaime Gallaga, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Bahrain. The Deputy Prime Minister commended the historical ties between the two countries and noted the development in bilateral relations. He highlighted the importance of building on achievements in bilateral cooperation and expanding coordination for the benefit of both countries and peoples.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah also noted the valued role of the Philippine community in Bahrain's comprehensive development across various domains. The meeting included discussions on enhancing economic cooperation in the fields of food security and investment, and reviewed a number of topics of mutual interest.
For his part, the ambassador affirmed his country's desire to strengthen joint coordination and wished the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
