Deputy Prime Minister Chairs Weekly Cabinet Meeting Focused on Regional Collaboration and National Initiatives

Manama: The Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, the Cabinet extended its best wishes for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the people of Bahrain, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet emphasized the significance of a recent meeting in Saudi Arabia, attended by key regional leaders, including HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa representing HM the King. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, and Egypt.

The Cabinet highlighted the development of the Bahrain International Garden Show, inaugurated by HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa. The event showcased modern agricultural technologies and underlined advancements in sustainable agriculture.

The Cabinet underscored the importance of initiatives from the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, which aimed to promote moderate Islamic thought. This conference, attended by numerous Islamic scholars, reinforced the need for unity and inclusivity within Islamic society.

The Cabinet acknowledged efforts by public and private entities in promoting sports awareness through Bahrain Sports Day. It praised the General Sports Authority's role, led by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in organizing events.

The visit of Malaysia's King and Prime Minister to Bahrain was highlighted as a key step in strengthening bilateral ties. The Cabinet also reviewed measures to ensure the stability of consumer goods' prices during Ramadan.

Congratulations were extended to Kuwait on its National Day and Liberation Day, with wishes for continued prosperity under its leadership.

Several memorandums were approved, including developments in draft laws, housing services enhancements, and international cooperation agreements. Notably, a memorandum concerning the upgrade of the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Highway project was discussed.

Ministerial reports were noted, detailing Bahrain's participation in various international forums and regional meetings, including those focused on energy, digital cooperation, tourism, and education. The outcomes of these participations highlighted Bahrain's active role in regional and international collaboration.
