Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, chaired the regular meeting of the Water Resources Council. The Council reviewed the progress made in implementing the National Water Strategy (2021 - 2030), reflecting the effectiveness of efforts in this vital sector. The overall completion rate for the strategy's indicators, projects, and initiatives reached 81%. The strategy includes 40 initiatives, 22 of which have been completed, while 18 initiatives remain under implementation according to the scheduled timelines.
According to Bahrain News Agency, relevant ministries provided detailed presentations on their contributions to this strategy and the progress achieved in their respective areas, ensuring the integration of government work to enhance water security. The Council was reassured of the efforts made to provide a safe and stable flow of water, as well as the high level of proactive readiness of the water system and its continuous ability to secure needs efficiently and competently at all times.
