Manama: On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa attended a reception hosted by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Bahrain. The event marked the 54th National Day of the UAE.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah conveyed the greetings of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. He also extended best wishes to the UAE and its people for continued success and prosperity.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that Bahrain's annual celebration of this occasion highlights the longstanding ties between the two countries, built by previous generations and maintained through ongoing cooperation. He noted that these ties continue to strengthen as both nations advance in partnership and integration, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah highlighted the advanced level reached by Bahrain-UAE ties, which have evolved into a strategic partnership with multiple dimensions reflecting the shared vision of the leadership of both countries. He noted that the achievements resulting from ongoing coordination demonstrate a fully integrated system of joint work, supporting and developing various avenues of cooperation. He further pointed out that the recent visit of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to Bahrain added significant momentum to bilateral ties, serving as an important milestone that strengthened coordination and advanced the partnership more cohesively.
Regarding this year's National Day, held under the theme "United", Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah explained that the celebration conveys a message beyond the occasion itself, reflecting the values of solidarity and cohesion that have underpinned the UAE's journey since its founding, culminating in a comprehensive development that has reinforced the country's prominent regional and international standing.
The Deputy Prime Minister commended the UAE for its leading role in promoting regional and international peace and stability through diplomatic initiatives, effective efforts, and pioneering humanitarian and developmental contributions worldwide. He also welcomed the UAE's participation in the 46th session of the GCC Supreme Council Summit, hosted by Bahrain under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, noting that the UAE's presence and influential role are key pillars in the framework of Gulf cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the ambassador for his efforts in enhancing communication and supporting initiatives that strengthen the longstanding ties between Bahrain and the UAE. He wished the UAE continued progress and prosperity and expressed hope for ongoing security, stability, and development for both nations and their peoples.
For his part, Ambassador Al Ameri commended the deep-rooted ties between the two countries, emphasising the continuous attention, care, and support provided by HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and His Majesty the King. He underlined the joint commitment to expanding cooperation across all fields to achieve greater prosperity for both nations. The Ambassador expressed gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two countries, reflecting the solidity of their fraternal ties and shared destiny. He highlighted Bahrain's continual commitment to sharing in the UAE's national celebrations.
