Deputy Prime Minister Attends Bahrain Polytechnic Graduation Ceremony at National Theatre

Manama: On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, attended the graduation ceremony of the 11th cohort of Bahrain Polytechnic students, held today at the Bahrain National Theatre.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla emphasized the ongoing development of the education sector in Bahrain, driven by the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The guidance of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reflects the Kingdom's belief in education as an investment in a future aligned with national development needs.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that building qualified national capabilities is essential for enhancing productivity and improving the national economy. This is achieved by preparing a generation equipped with knowledge and innovation, contributing to the Kingdom's progress in line with government priorities and Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030, which centers on Bahraini citizens as its main driver and ultimate goal.

He stressed the significance of technical and vocational education provided by Bahrain Polytechnic, which integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills, ensuring alignment with productive and service sector needs. This approach supports graduates in integrating into the labor market and contributing to national development and modernization.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla praised the Polytechnic's progress in institutional development and academic programs, noting the graduation of the second cohort of master's degree students. He highlighted this as a step that strengthens research and professional development while enhancing national expertise in specializations that support economic growth.

He also mentioned the Polytechnic's strategy to expand its reach through new branches across the Kingdom's governorates, facilitating access to educational services, increasing student capacity, and supplying the labor market with specialized skills.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation to Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of Bahrain Polytechnic's Board of Trustees, the Board members, and the academic and administrative staff for advancing the Polytechnic's development. He congratulated the graduates and their families, wishing them success and appreciating their parents' support.

Following the ceremony, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla presented certificates to master's degree graduates and outstanding undergraduate students. Dr. Juma expressed appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for patronage of the ceremony, and thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for his attendance and support of the higher education sector in the Kingdom. The minister also congratulated the graduates, their families, and the Polytechnic's Board of Trustees, academic, and administrative staff on this significant occasion.
