Deputy Prime Minister and Saudi Counterpart Discuss Transport and Logistics Cooperation

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, met with Rumaih bin Mohammed Al Rumaih, Saudi Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, in the presence of Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications. During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the strong and growing relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the steady progress across various domains under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah noted the role of the Bahrain-Saudi Coordination Council in advancing joint projects, particularly in transport and logistics, to translate shared visions into practical initiatives. He emphasised that both countries are moving toward deeper integration through strategic transport link projects that support their shared position as regional hubs for trade and logistics.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah highlighted that these projects facilitate passenger and cargo movement, modernize border crossings, and align with the goals of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and Saudi Vision 2030.

On his part, Al Rumaih underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening cooperation across shared priority domains.
