A delegation from the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) was briefed on the financial and non-financial services provided by the Microfund for Women (MFW) to women in various rural, villages, valleys and cities of the Kingdom in order to empower them economically, thus enhancing their roles on economic and social levels. The briefing was done during a visit by the delegation to the MFW's branch in the Al-Baqa'a camp, the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Jordan, where members of the delegation toured the MFW's branch, and briefed on several projects for its beneficiaries, such as embroidery and the manufacture of soap and milk products such as yoghurt, cheese and maamoul. The delegation members also met with a group of beneficiaries of the MFW's financial and non-financial services, and examined on women's success stories, as well as challenges that constitute an obstacle in front of them to achieve their dreams and aspirations. The members of the delegation, consisting of 25 women, all graduates of prestigious international universities, and working in various fields, most notably political, economic and social, as well as charitable activities, took the initiative to purchase a group of products made by ambitious women's hands. The MFW's vice-chairman, Muna Sukhtian, briefed on the MFW's various services, it provides through its 63 branches across the Kingdom, which had a positive impact on women.
