Manama: Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, Dar Al Manar for Parental Care celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special ceremony.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Her Highness Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation and Chairperson of the Royal Life Saving Bahrain, attended the event. She highlighted the importance of caring for parents and senior citizens as a fundamental social responsibility in Bahrain. HH Shaikha Nayla emphasized the organization's collaborative efforts with government entities, civil society, and the private sector to honor senior citizens for their contributions to national development.
HH Shaikha Nayla described Dar Al Manar as a model of care for senior citizens, providing them with a supportive environment to stay active through various programs. These initiatives help seniors share experiences, learn new skills, and remain engaged with the community, thus enhancing social cohesion and development.
Adnan Al Malki, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dar Al Manar, expressed gratitude to HRH Princess Sabeeka for her longstanding support and patronage. He credited her backing as a key factor in Dar Al Manar's success over the past 25 years. Al Malki also praised the organization's sponsors and partners, who were recognized at the ceremony for their roles in fostering social solidarity.
The event included a traditional performance by residents and a short film celebrating the anniversary. Supporters received tokens of appreciation, and HH Shaikha Nayla accepted a commemorative gift on behalf of HRH Princess Sabeeka. A tour of an exhibition featuring works by the association's members concluded the ceremony.
