Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Economic Development Board (EDB), has issued Edict (2) of 2025, focusing on the reconstitution of the Follow-up Committee for the Implementation of the Sports City Project.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the edict details the composition of the committee, which will be led by the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. The committee will include key figures such as the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Minister of Works, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Chief Executive Officer of the Urban Planning and Development Authority, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, Director of the Private Office of the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Managing Director and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bareeq Al Retaj Company, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Operations at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
The edict mandates that relevant authorities execute its provisions within their respective jurisdictions. It will be effective immediately and is to be published in the Official Gazette.
