Manama:His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, has issued an order granting Bahraini citizens an exceptional opportunity to retroactively register in the Electricity and Water Authority's (EWA) monthly Fixed Billing System. This registration applies from May of this year for their primary residences.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Crown Prince has also directed that the full difference between bills issued during this period and the average monthly bill over the year be credited to citizens' accounts with the Authority.
The initiative aims to help citizens manage their financial obligations related to electricity and water bills more effectively, minimizing fluctuations in billing amounts throughout the year. Additionally, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister instructed the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs to implement the necessary measures to carry out this order.
