Crown Prince of Bahrain Issues Significant Edict for 2025

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today covered several key events that unfolded over the past 24 hours. Among these, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, who also serves as the Prime Minister and President of the Supreme Commission for the RFFS, issued Edict (1) of 2025. This edict marks an important step in the nation's administrative and legislative activities as the year approaches.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting, reaffirming his commitment to overseeing the nation's governance. In addition to his domestic duties, HRH engaged in international diplomacy, meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This meeting highlighted Bahrain's ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and foster international cooperation.

The Crown Prince, who also holds the position of Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, further extended his diplomatic engagements by meeting with the UK's Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa. This meeting underscores Bahrain's strategic alliances and its role in regional security.

In domestic matters, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister held discussions with the Chairman of the Shura Council, reflecting the government's focus on legislative collaboration. Meanwhile, HH Commander Shaikh Isa bin Salman also met with the UK's Defence Senior Advisor, reinforcing military ties between Bahrain and the UK.

Other notable events include the Commander-in-Chief's reception of the SCH President and Al Hekma Society board members, the National Guard President's meeting with the Hajj delegation, and the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister's arrival in Bahrain. The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister's visit included a tour of the Bahrain National Museum, emphasizing cultural exchange.

Furthermore, the Interior Minister received a former UK defence chief, while the Foreign Minister conducted talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart, illustrating Bahrain's active diplomatic engagements. The Information Minister attended the 28th GCC information ministers' meeting in Kuwait, and the Youth Affairs Minister met with Bahraini inventors, showcasing Bahrain's commitment to innovation.

Additionally, the Education Minister received the Director General of the Arab Bureau of Education for Gulf States, and the Shura Chairman hosted the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, furthering educational and parliamentary cooperation.
