Manama:According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, appointed Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, to represent him at a reception hosted by the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Bahrain in celebration of Saudi Arabia's 96th National Day.
Shaikh Khalid was received by Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi, the Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain. During the event, Shaikh Khalid conveyed congratulations and best wishes from HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, expressing hopes for Saudi Arabia's continued prosperity.
He emphasized the strong historical ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, which are rooted in a history of mutual affection and cooperation. These ties have been nurtured by the leadership of both nations, notably His Majesty the King of Bahrain and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Shaikh Khalid highlighted the enduring bond between the countries, citing the historical legacy of cooperation initiated by His Highness Isa Al Kabeer and King Abdulaziz Al Saud. He expressed that this legacy continues to manifest today through the strong solidarity between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, as evidenced by Bahrain's celebrations of Saudi National Day.
He reiterated Bahrain's commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia in facing challenges, stressing that the security of Saudi Arabia is integral to Bahrain's own strategic security. He condemned the terrorist attempt by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia on Makkah, reaffirming Saudi Arabia's resolute mission to protect and serve the holy sites.
Shaikh Khalid also praised Saudi Arabia's development achievements under Vision 2030, noting that these have bolstered its international standing and contributed to the knowledge economy. He expressed confidence in Saudi Arabia's continued progress and prosperity.
Ambassador Al Sudairi acknowledged the support of Bahrain's leadership in fostering the robust relationship between the two nations.
