Crown Prince Attends Opening of Combined Command Post at Ras Al Bar Camp

Ras al bar: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, attended the Combined Command Post Opening Ceremony at Ras Al Bar Camp, an event held under his patronage.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ceremony was also attended by Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, and His Highness Lieutenant Commander Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Upon arrival, HRH was welcomed by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Air Vice-Marshal Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF), and Charles Bradford Cooper II, Commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

The inauguration of the Combined Command Post is a testament to the strong partnership between the Bahrain Defence Force and the United States Central Command. During the ceremony, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the enduring Bahrain-US relations, emphasizing their foundation on a deep-rooted partnership and joint agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).

His Royal Highness emphasized the need to further strengthen the bilateral partnership, particularly within the military and defence sectors, to realize shared objectives. He was briefed on the tasks, operating mechanisms, and regional security role of the Combined Command Post, which is a result of bilateral cooperation between Bahrain and the United States.

HRH expressed gratitude for the efforts that led to the establishment of the Post and conveyed his best wishes for the success of those working there in maintaining the security and stability of the Kingdom and the region. He stressed the shared aspiration of Bahrain and the United States to enhance bilateral ties and highlighted the role of the United States and its allies in maintaining regional and global security and supporting development initiatives.

HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Elizabeth Litchfield, Charg© d'Affaires at the United States Embassy to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and senior officers from the BDF and the United States Central Command were also present at the ceremony.
