Manama: HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister conducted a tour of the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) ahead of the qualifying session for the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025. This visit underscores the importance of the event to the region and its role in promoting Bahrain as a key destination for global sporting events. According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit was part of a series of activities covered by Bahraini daily newspapers, focusing on significant local events over the past day. The Foreign Minister participated in multiple international diplomatic forums, including the Antalya Diplomacy Forum and ministerial meetings focusing on the implementation of a two-state solution and developments in Gaza. These engagements highlight Bahrain's active role in international diplomacy and regional cooperation. Additionally, the Justice Ministry has announced the launch of the data protection officer appointment process for high-risk sectors, aiming to enhance data security and privacy. Meanwhile, the Housing Ministry, in collaboration with Eskan Bank, has launched an official website for the Innovation Summit in Social Housing 2025, reflecting Bahrain's commitment to advancing housing solutions. In other activities, the Youth Minister attended the launch of the "Bake Box by Little Chefs," a new initiative aimed at encouraging culinary skills among the youth. Gulf Air and Formula 1 are celebrating their 75th anniversaries, marking a significant milestone in their respective histories. The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities President also attended the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan, further showcasing Bahrain's involvement in global cultural events. In sports, McLaren dominated the third free practice session at the Bahrain Grand Prix Formula One, with Piastri securing pole position, beating Russell and Leclerc during the qualifying session.
