Manama: The Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program (CPISP) has announced the commencement of its 'Candidacy Program' for the 2026 scholarship selection process. The orientation event was held at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) headquarters, where candidates from both public and private schools were briefed on the upcoming training they will undergo.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ava Garbutt, the CPISP Executive Director, praised the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, emphasizing the investment in young Bahraini nationals' skills development. She also extended her congratulations to the candidates who have been shortlisted for the program.
The Candidacy Program will engage students in a series of courses concentrating on critical thinking, academic writing, leadership, and communication skills. Additionally, participants will take part in career and personality aptitude tests, prepare for standardized tests, and work towards obtaining a Level 3 Certificate in Team Leading from the UK-based Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
The CPISP is set to announce the scholarship recipients early next year. Selection will be based on academic merit and leadership qualities, as assessed through Grade Point Averages (GPA), IELTS scores, SAT scores, and performance in critical thinking and leadership courses.
Ava Garbutt concluded the orientation by expressing gratitude to the BIBF for their continuous support and expertise, and she wished the candidates a rewarding experience throughout the program.
