CPISP Concludes Candidacy Training Programme for Scholarship Aspirants

Manama: The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP) concluded its training for students taking part in the Group 27 Candidacy Programme. The training period comprises part of the selection process for candidates applying for one of CPISP’s ten annual scholarships.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Ava Garbutt, Executive Director of the CPISP, commended the hard work, dedication, and performance demonstrated by students during the candidacy training, which began last summer in partnership with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF). She presented certificates of achievement to the Candidacy Programme participants at the BIBF.

The candidacy training included courses on academic writing, critical thinking, and leadership. Students were also allowed to take part in communications development training, which included a Level 3 Certificate in Team Leading certified by the UK-based Chartered Management Institute (CMI), as well as personality and career path assessments.

As part of the course, CPISP organised guest lectures and panel discussions with qualified professionals on academic, personal development, and career-related topics, as well as IELTS and SAT preparation courses for candidates. Garbutt affirmed that the final ten scholarship recipients will be selected based on their Grade Point Average, their IELTS and SAT test results, and scores on the leadership training and critical thinking course. Candidates will include students from public schools and private schools.

Garbutt extended her appreciation to the BIBF, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Information for their continued contribution to the program and wished the students success.
