Jakarta: Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives and Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, held a meeting with Indra Iskandar, Secretary General of the Indonesian House of Representatives. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 19th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUIC) in Indonesia.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the secretariats of the two legislative bodies. This initiative is backed by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and Puan Maharani, Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
Both parties agreed to establish joint working groups to advance collaboration in areas such as information technology, research, technical and administrative affairs, along with reciprocal visits and virtual meetings. The primary aim of this initiative is to bolster bilateral ties, leverage shared experiences in parliamentary and legislative functions, and synchronize positions during meetings of regional and international Secretaries-General associations.
