Council of Representatives Hosts US Congress Delegation to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Manama: The General Secretariat of the Council of Representatives received a delegation of US Congress staff members. The meeting was centered around reviewing the Council's legislative and oversight experiences, its parliamentary mechanisms, and its cooperative efforts with relevant bodies to support national development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

According to Bahrain News Agency, discussions also focused on enhancing such visits to bolster bilateral relations and parliamentary cooperation. This includes the exchange of expertise in administrative and technical sectors. The delegation was informed about the Council's roles in legislation, oversight, and parliamentary diplomacy, as well as its coordination efforts with the Shura Council and the government.

The US delegation expressed appreciation for the advanced services and digital transformation of the Secretariat. They emphasized the importance of exchanging legislative and parliamentary knowledge and joint coordination in international parliamentary forums to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
