Manama: The General Secretariat of the Council of Representatives received a delegation from the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), comprising 120 participants. The visit reflects the Council’s commitment to promoting political and parliamentary awareness among all segments of society.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation and community partnership between the Council of Representatives and various official and civil institutions in the Kingdom. It aims to promote parliamentary culture and highlight the national role played by the Council as one of the key achievements of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s comprehensive development process.
The delegation was briefed on key milestones in Bahrain’s legislative and parliamentary development, provided an overview of the Council’s establishment, and outlined several legal and parliamentary aspects of its work and mechanisms.
The delegation also toured the Council’s main chamber and reviewed the procedures followed by MPs during sessions and the mechanisms governing discussions and legislative decision-making.
