Manama: Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received the BDF Hajj mission ahead of their departure to the holy sites. Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, and Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, were present during the reception.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Commander-in-Chief conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and Prime Minister, wishing the mission success. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed affirmed that the BDF Hajj mission reflects His Majesty the King's continued support for enabling personnel to perform Hajj annually in recognition of their service.
The Commander-in-Chief also commended the facilitations provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for pilgrims, which enable them to perform the Hajj rituals with ease and reassurance.
