Commander-in-Chief Meets Military Leaders to Discuss GCC Defence Integration

Manama: Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), held a meeting with Major General Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Balawi, Commander of the Unified Military Command of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and Major General Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Ruwaili, Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the BDF, was also present at the meeting. During the discussions, the Commander-in-Chief expressed his appreciation for the ongoing efforts of the GCC Unified Military Command and the Peninsula Shield Force. He highlighted their role in enhancing military cooperation, coordination, and joint defence integration, which are pivotal in protecting the achievements of GCC member states.

The Commander-in-Chief reiterated the BDF's dedication to promoting joint military cooperation and strengthening collective defence integration. This commitment aligns with the goals set forth in the GCC Joint Defence Agreement, aiming to bolster the defence capabilities and unity among GCC nations.
