Manama: The fifth edition of the Commander-in-Chief Football Cup is set to kick off on Monday with an opening match between the Royal Bahraini Air Force team and the Royal Military Police team.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the tournament will continue with the Technical Maintenance team facing Capital Camp on Tuesday, followed by a match between the Royal Armoured Corps and the Royal Special Forces on Wednesday. The round of 16 will conclude on Thursday with a game between the Mountain Camp team and the Royal Air Defence team.
The tournament is expected to feature participation from various branches and units of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), along with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. In its previous editions, the championship has attracted participation from athletes and players across different units and branches. It has also achieved organisational success, received media coverage, and drawn audience attendance, making it an anticipated annual sports event for football enthusiasts.
