Manama: The Coast Guard apprehended four Asian nationals in the Fasht Al Adhm area, east of the Kingdom of Bahrain, for engaging in illegal bottom trawling and shrimp fishing during the seasonal ban. They were found in possession of 90 kilograms of shrimp.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Coast Guard confirmed that legal procedures had been initiated to refer the case to the Public Prosecution. It reiterated its commitment to addressing such violations to protect marine resources and uphold national laws and regulations.
