Manama: The Ministry of Interior announced that the Coast Guard Command has carried out a maritime awareness campaign, in cooperation and coordination with Bapco Energies, as part of efforts to enhance maritime safety and regulate navigation. The campaign forms part of the ongoing 3D marine survey project being implemented across several maritime areas in the waters of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the campaign aims to raise awareness among fishermen, boat owners, and sea users about the importance of adhering to maritime safety guidance and navigation regulations within operational zones, ensuring their safety and facilitating the smooth implementation of the project in line with approved standards.
The Coast Guard Command said that the initiative reflects its continued efforts to strengthen field monitoring, enhance partnerships with relevant entities, and support strategic projects that contribute to the development of the energy sector. It emphasised the importance of cooperation, urging the public not to approach designated survey areas and to follow issued instructions to protect lives and property.
The Command also called on sea users to exercise caution and comply with announced guidance, affirming the continuation of awareness and monitoring programmes to support maritime security and safety in the Kingdom.
