Close Competition on Day One of 17th HM King Hamad Trophy

Manama: The first round of the 17th HM King Hamad Trophy was held this morning at the Royal Golf Club Bahrain. The tournament, which runs until November 29, features several international professional players with world rankings. Their participation has raised the level of competition and added to the intensity of the rounds, especially with the strong conditions and readiness of the course. This comes after previous editions confirmed that the champion will receive an invitation to take part in the third Bahrain International Championship next January.

According to Bahrain News Agency, many players posted strong scores in the opening round, including several under par. American Ahmed Ali topped the leaderboard with 66 and six under par. In second place was French player Stalter with 66, followed by Irish player Brady in third with 67. The United Kingdom's Scotland placed fourth with 68, Portugal's Da Silva was fifth with 68, and UK's Luke Joy finished sixth with 69.

The results reflect the tight competition as players aim to take the lead from the very first round by achieving the lowest possible scores.

The second round will be held on Friday morning, and golf fans are welcome to attend and watch the participating professionals.
