Beijing: The total number of visits to China's science and technology museums exceeded 100 million in 2024 for the first time, according to data released by the China Science and Technology Museum (CSTM) on Tuesday.
According to Bahrain News Agency, science and technology museums across China's 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps recorded a total of 104 million visits last year. This marks a 16.3% increase compared with 2023.
China's mobile science popularisation projects also achieved commendable results in 2024. By the end of the year, mobile sci-tech museums had cumulatively toured 746 locations, while science popularisation caravans travelled a total of 2.68 million kilometres.
Mobile science classes, jointly organised by the Ministry of Education, the CSTM, and the online platform Douyin, garnered over 350 million views online.
