Chief of Police Chairs Meeting to Boost Physical Fitness and Health of Interior Ministry Personnel

Manama: Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police, chaired a meeting of the Physical Fitness and Health Committee. The meeting reviewed plans and programmes designed to develop the physical fitness and health system and enhance the physical readiness of Ministry of Interior personnel.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chief of Police emphasized that the meeting was part of the Ministry of Interior's strategy aimed at enhancing the efficiency of its personnel by strengthening their physical and health readiness through advanced scientific and training programmes. Lt. Gen. Al Hassan stated that these initiatives are crucial for improving the physical fitness of police personnel, enabling them to perform their security duties efficiently and effectively, and providing professional security services in alignment with the Ministry's modern policing approach.

The Chief of Police also stressed the significance of enhancing community partnerships with educational institutions within the Kingdom. He highlighted the need to expand cooperation, especially in areas of sports and health research and studies, which contribute to the development of physical fitness programmes and the promotion of public health. Lt. Gen. Al Hassan expressed his appreciation for the committee's ongoing efforts to improve the physical fitness and health of Ministry personnel.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed a briefing on the implementation of recommendations from its previous meeting and the progress made in this regard. Additionally, discussions were held on proposals and topics aimed at further developing the physical fitness and health system, as well as enhancing training programmes for Ministry of Interior personnel.
